HVAC System Purchase
As we transform a former fire station into the Community First Non-Profit Hub, we have encountered one significant obstacle. The building was originally scheduled for demolition prior to our acquisition, and the exterior condenser unit was removed. Additionally, the existing HVAC system dates back to 1989 and is no longer operational.
To safely serve youth, adults, and families year-round, we are seeking $21,000 to install a new heating and cooling system consisting of one 5-ton gas furnace and two 2-ton mini-split systems. These systems will provide climate control for two former fire truck bays that have been reimagined as modern community computer labs, where participants will access STEM education, digital literacy training, workforce development programs, and career certification opportunities.
This investment is more than an HVAC system—it is the final step in transforming an unused municipal building into a welcoming, technology-rich learning environment that will expand educational opportunities for generations to come.
