Dr. Zoe Grant is a community leader, nonprofit founder, and public servant dedicated to empowering residents across Bell County. A Temple resident since 2016, she is a licensed minister with doctorates in Theology and Biblical Studies and has spent her career advancing service, equity, and opportunity.
Dr. Grant is the founder and Executive Director of Zoe’s Wings Foundation, which provides home repairs for low-income homeowners, and New Life Community Development Center, which prepares job seekers with résumé support, mock interviews, and professional attire. She also owns several design and construction businesses that contribute to local economic growth.
In 2023, Dr. Grant made history as the first African American woman elected to the Temple City Council, where she serves as liaison to the Zoning Board of Adjustment and Planning & Zoning. She is also an active member of the Texas Association of Black City Council Members (TABCCM).
Her leadership spans decades, including serving as State Director for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in both Colorado and Wyoming, multiple chapter presidencies, and extensive conference planning and facilitation. She is a Zeta Life and Legacy member and an accomplished award recipient, earning recognitions such as the NAACP Torch Bearer Award, the Ruby Bridges Trailblazer Award, and community service honors from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Dr. Grant has served on numerous civic and nonprofit boards, including Family Promise, the Temple Comprehensive Plan Advisory Council, Temple Civic Theatre, and the Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum Foundation. She continues to serve on local boards and committees focused on neighborhood revitalization, community development, and resident support.
